| 8, Every member of the Council, including the CD President, shall, unless he vacates office earlier, hold office for a term of five years : Provided that the person elected or appointed as the President or as a member of the Council in succession to any person who has ceased to be the President or a member of the Council before the expiry of his term of office shall, unless he vacates office earlier, hold office for the unexpired part of the term of office of the President or the member, as the case may be, whom he succeeds. |
