36.
| (1) The purposes of providing, promoting, and developing higher education and research in such branch or branches of learning as is or are specified in the Incorporation Order shall be the objects of a University. |

| (2) On the recommendation of the National Council, the Minister, may by Order alter-
| | (a) the objects of a University; or | | |
| | (b) the name and style of the University; or | | |
| | (c) the location of the place or site which is the seat of a University, | | |
|
|
| (3) An Order amending the Incorporation Order shall be published in the Gazette. |
|
| (5) No Order amending the Incorporation Order shall come into force until it is approved by resolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives. |
