Amendment of section 2 of Chapter 2

2. Section 2 of the Interpretation Ordinance, hereinafter referred to as the " principal enactment", is hereby amended-

(1) by the insertion, immediately after paragraph (t), of the following paragraph : -

	' (tt) " Poya Day" shall have the same meaning as in the Holidays Act, No. 17 of 1965, and the expression " Poya Day " shall be construed accordingly ;' ; and

(2) by the substitution, for paragraph (v) of that section, of the following new paragraph : -

	' (v) " public holiday" shall have the same meaning as in the Holidays Act, No. 17 of 1965, and the expression " public holidays" shall be construed accordingly ;'.
