Information And Communication Technology Act (No. 27 of 2003) - Sect 1

Short title and date of operation and duration of Act

1.
(1) This Act may be cited as the Information and Communication Technology Act, No, 27 of 2003 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister is in charge of the subject of Information Technology may appoint, by Order published in the Gazette.
(2) The provisions of this Act shall be in operation for a period of five years from the date on which such Act shall have come into operation.
