Where the Commissioner-General is of the opinion that the correct amount of the profits of a non-resident person arising in or derived from Sri Lanka in respect of a trade or business cannot be readily ascertained, the Commissioner-General may direct an Assessor to compute such profits on a fair percentage of the turnover of that trade or business in Sri Lanka: Provided that such percentage may be questioned in an appeal against an assessment in accordance with the provisions of Chapter XVIII. |
