Local Authorities Elections (Amendment) Act (No. 20 of 1987) - Sect 8

Amendment of section 89 of the principal enactment

8. Section 89 of the principal enactment, as last amended by Law No. 24 of 1977, is hereby further amended as fallows:
(a) by the substitution far the definition of "Deputy Mayor" of the following definition :
(b) by the substitution far the definition of " local authority " of the following definition :
(c) by the substitution for the definition. of "Mayor " of the following definition :
(d) by the insertion immediately after the definition of, "parliamentary register for the time being in operation" of the following definition:
(e) by the substitution for the definition of "town" of the following definition:
(f) by the omission of the definition of "village area".
