| (1) Where, prior to the date of commencement of this Act, any permit under the principal enactment has been issued or endorsed by an officer appointed Under Sub-section (1) of section 6 of that enactment or any other act or thing has been done by such officer, such permit or other act or thing, shall, at all times, be deemed to be and to have been validly and properly issued, endorsed or done by such officer under the principal enactment as amended by section 3 of this Act. |

| (2) Where, prior to the date of the commencement of this Act, any permit under the principal enactment has been signed or endorsed by any officer, other than an officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6, such permit shall, at all times, be deemed to be and to have been as valid and effectual as if it had been signed or endorsed by the Government Agent. |
