Local Government Service Law (No. 16 of 1974) - Sect 9

Dismissal and disciplinary control by Minister

9. The Minister shall not exercise his power of dismissal or disciplinary control of members of the service unless he has received the recommendation of the Disciplinary Board: Provided however that the Minister shall act exercise his power of dismissal of members of the service whose consolidated salary is not less than Rs. 14,400 per annum unless he has received the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers.
