| (1) The Authority shall be responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of development projects within the area as specified in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "designated area") and shall for that purpose, exercise, perform and discharge all or any of the powers, duties and functions conferred or imposed on it by or under this Act. |

| (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1), the Authority shall have the power to maintain any office or stores outside the designated area and execute outside such designated area any such work as may be necessary for the discharge of its functions under this Act- |
