2. The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 184A of the Municipal Councils Ordinance, and shall have effect as section 184B of that Ordinance:
| 184B. Any member of the Local Government Service employed by a Municipal Council, who retires or has retired from such service and who exercises or has exercised the option of commutation of his pension, may, with effect from the date following the expiry of a period of twelve years and six months from the date of his retirement or from January 1, 1973, whichever-date is the later, be paid by that Council, the full pension which would have been paid to him had he not exercised such option. |
