Mahaweli Development Board Act (No. 14 of 1970) - Sect 2

Establishment of the Mahaw Development Board

2.
(1) With effect from such date as may be fixed by the Minister by notification published in the Gazette, there shall be established a Board which shall be called the " Mahaweli Development Board ", hereinafter referred to as " the Board ".
(2) The Board shall by the name assigned to it by sub-section (1) be a body corporate and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in such name.
