4. Section 13 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following new section substituted therefor: -

| | (1) The term of office of the Governor, and of the person appointed under paragraph (d) of section 8 (2) (hereinafter referred to as the " appointed member "), shall, subject to the provisions of subsection (2) of this section, be the period of six years commencing on the date of his appointment:

| | (2) In the event of the vacation of office by the Governor or by the appointed member before the expiration of his term of office, another person shall be appointed in his place to hold office during the unexpired part of the term of office of the Governor or member so vacating office. | | |
| | (3) Any person vacating office as Governor or as appointed member by efflux ion of time shall be eligible for reappointment.'. | | |
