Motor Transport Act (No. 48 of 1957) - Sect 110

(Section 90 (2).) Cap. 203. [ 10, 34 of 1962.]

1. This Act may be cited as the Motor Transport Act, No. 48 of 1957. * See section 26 of the Motor Transport (Amendment) Act, No. 22 of 1961. †See section 11 of the Motor Transport (Amendment) Act, No. 34 of 1962.
(Section 90 (1).) Cap. 203.
1. Section 2 of the Motor Traffic Act is hereby amended by the addition, at the end of that section, of the following new subsection: -
" (8) The possession or use by the Ceylon Transport Board of a motor coach shall be deemed not to be a contravention of subsection (1) so long as that coach is not used on any highway for the carriage of persons or goods for fee or reward.".

1. Section 169 of the Motor Traffic Act shall not apply to or in relation to any omnibus or hiring car of the Ceylon Transport Board.
