Motor Transport Act (No. 48 of 1957) - Sect 112

3. The Ceylon Transport Board shall, by the name assigned to it by section 2, be a body corporate and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in such name.
3. Section 35 of the Motor Traffic Act is hereby amended, in subsection (2) of that section, as follows: -
(1) by the substitution in paragraph (ii) of the proviso to that subsection, for the words " one hundred and fifty-seven inches,", of the words " one hundred and fifty-seven inches and not more than one hundred and eighty inches,"; and
(2) by the addition, at the end of that proviso, of the following new paragraph: -
" (iv) Where the omnibus has a wheel base of more than one hundred and eighty inches, the number of passengers determined for that omnibus under paragraph (i) shall be increased by a number not exceeding twelve.".

3. Sections 170, 174 and 182 of the Motor Traffic Act shall not apply to or in relation to any omnibus or hiring car of the Ceylon Transport Board.
