2. Section 10 of the Medical Wants Ordinance, hereinafter referred to as the " principal enactment", is hereby amended as follows : -
| (1) in paragraph (a) of that section, by the substitution, for the words " two rupees and fifty cents ; ", of the words " five rupees ; "; |

| (2) in paragraph (b) of that section, by the substitution, for all the words from " for each day's maintenance," to the end of that paragraph, of the following: -
|
|
| (3) by the substitution, for the proviso to that section, of the following proviso : - " Provided that-
| | (i) where such period exceeds a day, no sum shall be paid under paragraph (b) in respect of the day such labourer leaves the hospital, if he leaves before noon ; and | | |
| | (ii) the liability under that paragraph shall not extend beyond a period of sixty days. ". | | |
