Medical Wants (Amendment) Law (No. 28 of 1974) - Sect 2

Replacement of section 10 of Chapter 226

2. Section 10 of the Medical Wants Ordinance is hereby repealed, and the following new section substituted therefor:-
10. The following sums shall be payable by superintendents in respect of medical services rendered under this Ordinance: -
(a) in respect of every visit to an estate for the purpose of attendance on any sick labourer or labourers, five rupees;
(b) in respect of the maintenance of a sick immigrant labourer in a hospital for each day, or an outstanding part of a day, in the period of maintenance, or for the entire period of maintenance, if it is less than a day, three rupees and fifty cents, or such other sum as may from time to time be prescribed.
