Nation Builders Association (Incorporation) Act (No. 49 of 1982) - Sect 3

General objects of the Corporation

3. The general objects for which the Corporation is constituted are hereby declared to be
(a) to harness the enthusiasm, skills and voluntary efforts of the people for their own development, and thereby, to achieve development of the village, and ultimately, that of the Nation
(b) to give recognition to voluntary organizations engaged in development activities, work along with them, and where possible, help co-ordinate their functioning;
(c) to plan, obtain necessary resources for, and implement development projects, particularly those based in the rural sector, with stress on activities that promote self-reliance;
(d) to bring about closer liaison between the rural and the State administrative machinery, with a view to enabling the former to better obtain available assistance, and the latter to recognize existing and, real problems of the people;
(e) to encourage the formation of rural groups, and to promote communication said co-ordination of activities between those that play similar roles, and face comparable problems, with, a view to enabling the former to better obtain available assistance, and the latter to recognize existing and real problems of the people;
(f) to encourage, promote, and conduct appropriate educational programmes (scientific and technological, as well as social, cultural and spiritual) through peripheral training centres, existing schools, study groups and such other group educational activities as seminars and workshops; and
(g) to do all such other acts and things as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
