| (1) The Council of the Corporation shall cause proper accounts to be kept of all sums of money received and expended by the Corporation, and the accounts of the Corporation shall be examined and audited once at least every year, and the correctness of the income and expenditure account and balance sheet certified by one or more duly qualified auditor or auditors. |

| (2) In this section. " qualified auditor" means
| | (a) an individual who, being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, or of any other Institute established by law, possesses a certificate to practise as an Accountant issued by the Council of such Institute; or | | |
| | (b) a firm of Accountants each of the resident partners of which, being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, or of any other Institute established by law. possesses a certificate to practise as an Accountant issued by the Council of such Institute. | | |
