| (1) If a member of the Authority other than the Chairman dies or resigns or is removed from office the Minister may, having regard to the provisions of section 4, appoint any other person to be a member in place of the member who dies, resigns or is removed from office. |

| (2) A member appointed under subsection (1) shall, unless he earlier resigns or vacates his office by death or removal, hold office for the unexpired part of the term of office of the member whom he succeeds. |
