Insertion of new section 97A in the principal enactment

35. The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 97 of the principal enactment and shall have effect as section 97A of that, enactment: "
97A. All offences committed under any provision of this Law, and which are specified in the Schedule hereto, shall notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, No, 15 of 1979, be deemed to be"
(a) cognizable offences ; and
(b) non-bailable offences, within the meaning, and for the purposes of that law. ".
