| (1) Every person who erects or causes to be erected any new building, or rebuilds or causes to be rebuilt any building, shall cause such building to be provided with such sewers and appliances as may, in the opinion of the Board, be necessary for the sewerage of such building, and for the collection and removal of any sullage, foul liquids or faecal matter therefrom in accordance with the provisions of this Law or any regulations for the time being in force. |

| (2) Every person who fails or neglects to provide such sewers and appliances as aforesaid shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction after trial before a Magistrate to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty rupees. |
