(1) Where any notice is required by this Act to be published and, if in the opinion of the authority who is required to publish such notice, the prescribed mode of publication does not give sufficient publicity to the notice, he may, in addition to publishing the notice as required by this Act, exhibit copies of the notice in conspicuous places within the administrative district to which the notice relates or take such other steps as he nay deem necessary for giving publicity thereto. |

(2) Every person who, without lawful authority, destroys, mutilates, defaces or removes any notice which is exhibited by any authority under subsection (1) or any document which is made available for inspect on in accordance with this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction before a Magistrate be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees. |
