Provincial Councils Elections Act (No. 2 of 1988) - Sect 92

Avoidance by conviction of candidate

91.
(1) The election of a candidate as a Member is avoided by his conviction for any corrupt or illegal practice.
(2) Where the election of a person as a member of a Provincial Council is declared void, he shall be disqualified from sitting or voting in such Provincial Council.
