| (1) The Chairman of the Board or any person authorized in that behalf by such Chairman may-
| | (a) inspect any movable or immovable property which had been, or is being or is or was intended to be, used for the purchase, sale, supply or distribution of paddy and rice or hulling, milling or processing of paddy and rice; | | |
| | (b) inspect any movable or immovable property which had been, or is being or is or was intended to be, used for the carrying on of such other business as may be incidental or conducive to the purposes referred to in paragraph (a); | | |
| | (c) request any person to furnish information with regard to any matter within his knowledge relating to any movable or immovable property referred to in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b); and | | |
| | (d) request any person to furnish information with regard to any matter within his knowledge relating to the business of purchase, sale, supply or distribution of paddy and rice or hulling, milling or processing of paddy and rice, whether carried on by himself or any other person, and the persons employed for the purposes of such business, including details of their salaries, gratuities, compensation, or other benefits accruing to them. | | |

| (2) Any person who fails, without reasonable cause, to comply with the provisions of sub-section (1) (c) or sub-section (1) (d) or who furnishes information knowing such information to be false or obstructs any person in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (1) (a) or sub-section (1) (6) shall be guilty of an offence under this Act. |
