2. Section 28A of the Private Omnibus Services Act, No. 44 of 1983 (inserted by Act No. 38 of 1985), is hereby amended as follows:
| (1) by the repeal of subsection (1) of that section and the substitution therefor of the following new subsection:
| | " (1) The charge to be levied by a local authority on a private omnibus for the use of a bus stand provided for the exclusive use of private omnibuses shall be determined by such local authority subject to
| | | (a) a maximum of one hundred rupees per bus per month, where such local authority has provided a shelter for passengers and an enclosure for time-keepers, with water, electricity and toilet facilities, at such bus stand; and |
| (b) a maximum of fifty rupees per bus per month, where such local authority has provided only land for the purposes of such bus stand and the facilities referred to in paragraph (a) are provided by a District Association. "; and |

| (2) by the substitution in subsection (3) of that section for the words" shall recover any payment ", of the words and figure" shall recover any charge levied under subsection (1) ". |
