Petroleum Products (Regulation And Control Of Supplies) Act (No. 34 of 1979) - Sect 3

Restriction on purchase of petrol

3. From and after the date of coming into operation of this Part of this Act, no person other than a vendor shall purchase or obtain petrol unless he is an approved consumer of petrol and is the holder of a valid permit issued by the Authority in respect of petrol.
