| 164. Where any movable property seized in execution of a warrant is sold under this Part, the Secretary of the Pradeshiya Sabha shall. after deducting from the proceeds of sale the amount, and cost leviable under the warrant, on application made by the owner of the property or joint owners, pay the surplus, if any, to the owner or owners as the case may be : Provided, however, that where no such application is made before the expiry of one year from the date of the sale of any movable property, the amount of such surplus shall be credited to the Pradeshiya Sabha Fund and no person shall thereafter be entitled to demand or receive such amount. |
