3. The general objects for which the Corporation is established are hereby declared to be:-
| (a) to construct buildings required for the purpose of the Sri Sankhapala Rajamaha Vihara and to renovate such buildings ; |
|
| (b) to build Aramas and Buddhist centres in other areas ; |
|
| (c) to sponsor religious activities ; |
|
| (d) to improve the knowledge of devotees and of children in religious education.; |
|
| (e) to provide the resident Bhikkhus of Sri Sankhapala Rajamaha Vihara with their day to day needs, and educational facilities ; and |
|
| (f) to aid and assist local people and visiting pilgrims in religious activities. |
