| 46. No public meeting shall be held during the period commencing forty-eight hours before the date fixed for the poll and ending one week after the result of the Referendum has been declared, Every person who contravenes any of the preceding provisions of this section, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred rupees or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding one month, or to both such fine and imprisonment. |
