3. The general objects for which the Corporation is constituted are hereby declared to be
| (a) to plan and execute programmes and activities for the development and continued maintenance of education, arts and crafts, dance, poems and music pertaining to the culture of Ruhuna ; |

| (b) to take the necessary steps to promote educational, cultural, welfare and sports activities of the members and of affiliated institutions ; |
|
| (c) to establish a Cultural Centre and maintain it; and |
|
| (d) to do all such other acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects. |
