5, It shall be the duty of the Board to apply the moneys belonging to the Fund for the purposes hereinafter pro vided in such manner as the Board may determine"
| (a) for the promotion of Buddhist activities ; |
|
| (b) for assisting the activities of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and other religious organizations with a view to bringing about goodwill and harmony among all religious groups ; |
|
| (c) for the promotion of the general welfare of children; |
|
| (d) for the advancement and promotion of national arts and crafts giving first preference to the advancement and promotion of such arts and crafts in the Ratnapura District; |
|
| (e) for the promotion of sports activities ; and |
|
| (f) for any other purpose, which is in the opinion of the Board, of benefit or interest to the people of the Ratnapura District. |
