(1) Where any notice, register or other document is required by this Act to be published and, in the opinion of the authority who is required to publish such notice, register or other document, the mode of publication does not give sufficient publicity to such notice, register or other document he may, in addition to publishing such notice, register or other document as required by this Act, exhibit or make available for inspection copies of such notice, register or other document in conspicuous places within the electoral district to which such notice, register or other document relates or take such other steps as he may deem necessary. |

(2) Every person who, without lawful authority, destroys, mutilates, defaces or removes any notice, register or other document which is exhibited or made available for Inspection in accordance with this Act, or fails to exhibit or make available for inspection under this Act any notice. other document, or copies thereof, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction before a Magistrate, to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees. |
