Regulation Of Insurance Industry Act (No. 43 of 2000) - Sect 107

Certain insurers deemed to be insurers for the purposes of the Motor Traffic Act. and deemed to be granted licences under section 45 (1) of the Workmen's Compensation Ordinance

107.
(1) Any insurer who is registered under the provisions of this Act to carry on motor vehicle insurance business, shall be deemed to be an "authorized insurer" for the purposes of Part VI of the Motor Traffic Act.
(2) Any insurer who is registered under the provisions of this Act to carry on employers liability insurance business, shall be deemed to have been granted a licence under subsection (1) of section 45 of the Workmen's Compensation Ordinance, to undertake insurance against liabilities to workmen which may be incurred by employers under that Ordinance.
