| (1) Each Registrar of Title shall keep a book to be called the "day book" in which shall be entered the prescribed particulars of every instrument presented for registration with the day and hour and if required by the person presenting the instrument, the minute of presentation, and for the purpose of priority the time of presentation shall be taken as the time of registration. |

| (2) An instrument presented for registration through the post or under cover shall be deemed to have been presented for registration at the time the packet containing the instrument is opened. |
