| (1) Any person who knowingly misleads or deceives the Surveyor-General, the Commissioner of Title Settlement or the Registrar-General of Title or their Assistants or representatives in the performance of their functions under this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction after summary trial by a Magistrate, to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding Rupees Five Thousand or to both such imprisonment and such fine. |
