10. Section 40 of the principal Act is hereby amended as follows :
| (1) by the substitution, in subsection (1) of that section, for the expression " Subject to the provisions of section 41, an order , of the expression " An order " ; |

| (2) by the substitution in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of that section, for the expression " in every week ; ", of the expression " in every week, or in every period ; " ; |
|
| (3) by the substitution in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of that section, for the expression " in every week ; and ", of the expression " in every week, or in every period ; and " ; |
|
| (4) by the substitution in paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of that section, for the expression " in every week. ", of the expression " in every week, or in every period." ; and |
|
| (5) by the insertion, immediately after subsection (2) of that section, of the following new subsection : -
| | " (3) For the purposes of subsection (2) the term " period " means the period between midnight on the night of the day immediately preceding any Poya Day and midnight on the night of the day immediately preceding the succeeding Poya Day. ". | | |
