Stamp Duty Act (No. 43 of 1982) - Sect 67

Orders

67.
(1) The Minister may, by Order published in the Gazette, require that stamps of the description specified in the Order be used for the stamping of the instruments specified in the Order and it shall not be lawful for any person to use stamps other than the stamps of that description for the payment of duty on such instruments.
(2) Every rule made under section 6 of the Stamp Ordinance and in force on the date of commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be an Order made under subsection (1).
(3) The Minister on being satisfied, in respect of any country, that no stamp duty is chargeable in that country in the case of any instrument executed by, or on behalf of, or in favour of, the Government of Sri Lanka may declare, by Order published in the Gazette that the exemption granted by paragraph 13 of section 5 shall apply to a similar instrument executed by or oh behalf of, or in favour of, the Government of that country.
