Stamp (Amendment) Law (No. 21 of 1973) - Sect 2

Replacement of section 34 of Chapter 247

2. Section, 34 of the Stamp Ordinance (hereinafter-referred to as the "principal enactment"), as and the following new section substituted therefor: -
34. Any person receiving any money amounting to. twenty rupees or upwards, or any bill of exchange, cheque, or promissory note for an amount of twenty rupees or upwards, or receiving in satisfaction or part satisfaction of a debt any movable property amounting to twenty rupees or upwards in value, shall give a. duly stamped receipt for the same:
