Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education Act (No. 29 of 1995) - Sect 6

Administration of the institute vested in Governing Council

6.
(1) The administration, management and control of the affairs of the Institute shall be vested in the Governing Council of the Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Council").
(2) The Council shall, for the purpose of administering the affairs of the Institute exercise, discharge and perform the powers, functions and duties conferred, or imposed on, or, assigned to, the Institute by this Act.
