Sri Lanka Press Council Law (No. 5 of 1973) - Sect 17

Appearance before the Council

17. In any proceedings at an inquiry before the Council, the Commissioner or the defendant may appear in person or by a pleader or any agent duly authorized in writing.For the purposes of this section, the word " pleader " means an advocate or proctor.
