2. Section 3 of the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation Act, No. 4 of 1958, as amended by Act No. 49 of 1979, is hereby further amended by the repeal of subsection (1) of that section and the substitution therefor, of the following new subsection:
| ' (1) Subject to the provisions of subsection (2) there shall be nine members of the Corporation who shall be appointed by the Minister as follows:
| | (a) seven members who shall be appointed from among persons possessing a knowledge of planting, management or labour relations, or who have expertise in industrial, financial and commercial matters; | | |
| | (b) one member who shall be a professionally qualified accountant; and | | |
| | (c) one member who shall be an economist with post-graduate qualifications. | | |
