(1) The Chairman of the Board of Directors, or any person authorized in that behalf by such Chairman, may-
| | (a) inspect any movable or immovable property which had been, or is being, or is, or was intended to be, used for engaging in or carrying on any business of any class or description referred to in section 2 (1) ; | | |
| | (b) inspect any movable or immovable property which had been, or is being, or is, or was intended to be, used for the engaging in or carrying on of such other business as may be incidental or conducive to any business referred to in paragraph (a) of this subsection ; | | |
| | (c) request any person to furnish information with regard to any matter within his knowledge relating to any movable or immovable property referred to in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of this sub-section ; and | | |
| | (d) request any person to furnish information with regard to any matter within his knowledge relating to any business referred to in paragraph (a) of this sub-section, whether carried on by himself or any other person, and the persons employed for the purposes of such business. | | |

(2) Any person who fails, without reasonable cause, to comply with the provisions of sub-section (1) (c) or sub-section (1) (d), or who furnishes information knowing such information to be false, or obstructs any person in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (1) (a) or sub-section (1) (6), shall be guilty of an offence under this Act. |
