| 97. For the purpose of this Part of this Act, unless the context otherwise requires " employer " means any person who employs any other person to do work in any establishment for remuneration and includes any person responsible for the supervision and control of employees in such establishment; " establishment" means any place where any industry, trade, business or profession is carried on; " specified profession " means a profession in respect of which provision has not been made by law for the vocational training of members prior to entry into such profession and is specified by the Minister with the consent of the governing body of the profession if any, for the provision of vocational training under this Part of this Act. "trainee " means any person who is undergoing a course of training under the provisions of this Part of this Act and includes an apprentice; and "vocational training " means initial training, further training and re-training. |
