6. Section 24 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows : - [Gazette Extry. No. 14.726/12 of 22.12.66.]
| (1) by the substitution in paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of that section, for the expression " a day in each week ", of the expression " a day in each week or every Poya Day in each week, or, where no Poya Day falls in any week, a day in such week," ; [ยง 6, 27 of 1957.] |

| (2) by the insertion, immediately after subsection (1) of that section, of the following new subsection : -
| | " (1A) Where a holiday is determined under paragraph (c) or paragraph (d) of subsection (1) -
| | | (a) every worker to whom the determination applies shall be entitled to take and shall take such holiday in accordance with the terms of the determination, and |
| (b) the employer of every such worker shall allow such holiday and be liable to pay remuneration in respect of such holiday in accordance with the terms of the determination. " : |

(3) by the substitution in subsection (4) of that section, for the expression " differently for the different days of the week,", of the expression " differently for the different days of the week, differently for the day immediately preceding a Poya Day or, where no such Poya Day falls in any week, a day in such week". |
