Mutual Recognition of Qualifications of Legal Profession
(Amendment) Regulations, 2004
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 81A and 87A of the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure, the Minister for Justice
and Home Affairs has made the following regulations>–

Amends regulation
1 of
the principal regulations.
Amends regulation
11 of
the principal regulations.
1. The title of these regulations is the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications of Legal Profession (Amendment) Regulations, 2004
and they shall be read and construed as one with the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications of Legal Profession Regulations, 2004,
hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. For sub-regulation (2) of regulation 1 of the principal regulations there shall be substituted the following>–
“(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st May,
2004.”.
3. In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 11 of the principal regulations, for the words “within four months of receipt of all the
relevant documents” there shall be substituted the words “provided that such consideration shall be limited to an evaluation
of the applicant’s qualifications”.
