Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs
(Amendment) Regulations, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act, the Minister of Health, the Elderly and Community Care has made the following regulations>–
1. The title of these regulations is the Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2006, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs Regulations, 2004, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. These regulations implement the provisions of Commission Directive 2006#34#EC of the 21st March, 2006, and they shall enter into force on the 31st December, 2006.
3. For the Seventh Schedule to the principal regulations, there shall be amended the following>–
“SEVENTH SCHEDULE
1. In the section concerning Category 1. Vitamins>
(a) The heading ‘FOLIC ACID’ is replaced by ‘FOLATE’. (b) The following line is added under the heading
‘FOLATE’>
