METROLOGY ACT (CAP. 454)
Measuring Instruments (Amendment) Regulations, 2008
IN exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 19 of the Metrology Act, the Malta Standards Authority has made the following regulations>–
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Measuring Instruments (Amendment) Regulations, 2008 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Measuring Instruments Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations transpose Annex B of Directive
2006#96#EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20th November, 2006 on adapting certain Directives in the field of free movement of goods, by reason of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania on the 1st January, 2007.
(3) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on 1st January, 2007.
