SOCIAL SECURITY ACT (CAP. 318)
Maximum Pensionable Income Order, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 2 and 61 and by paragraph (4) of the Thirteenth Schedule to the Social Security Act, the Minister for the Family and Social Solidarity, with the concurrence of the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, has made the following order>

1. The title of this order is the Maximum Pensionable Income
Order, 2007.
2. This order shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st January, 2005.
3. For the purposes of the Social Security Act and the interpretation of the expression “pensionable income”, the pensionable income shall in no case>
(a) exceed six thousand eight hundred and forty-one Maltese liri (Lm6,841) per annum with effect from the 1st January, 2005< and
(b) exceed six thousand nine hundred and fifty eight Maltese liri (Lm6,958) per annum with effect from the 7th January, 2006.
4. The Maximum Pensionable Income Order, 1987 is hereby revoked.
