(1) An apparatus assignment shall be valid for a period of five years or such lesser period as may be specified in the apparatus assignment.

(2) The apparatus assignment holder may, not less than sixty days before the expiry of the apparatus assignment, make a fresh application to the Commission for an apparatus assignment and regulation 21 shall apply mutatis mutandis for the application.
