TRADE DESCRIPTIONS (CHEAP SALE PRICE) REGULATIONS 1997

Regulation 5. Only six sales at cheap sale price per year.

(1) The total number of sales at cheap sale price allowed under these Regulations shall not exceed six times in any calendar year of which:

(a)

four times shall be determined by the Controller; and

(b)

two times at the choice of the manufacturer, producer, importer, wholesaler or retailer, as the case may be.

(2) The date and duration of four sales at cheap sale price shall be made known to the public at the end of every calendar year by notification in the Gazette.

(3) The date and duration of sales referred under paragraph (1)(b) shall not be fixed at the same date and duration as specified under subregulation (2).

(4) Any person who holds any sale at cheap sale price other than on the date and duration specified under subregulation (2) and the two sales allowed under paragraph (1)(b) shall be guilty of an offence.
